Live-Performance

1 venue. 4 artists. 5 cameras. 1 screen. An experimental Performance.

An artistic proposition exploring our way to inhabit space and connect with the others. Space as the place we use to meet or as the place we cut ourselves from the world, a protection or a prison. How to reach out? Four artists from different disciplines are confronting themselves to the absolute restrain to stay by themselves and try to overcome this limitation.

"The old world is dying and the new one is slow to appear, and it is in that twilight that creatures are born." [Antonio Gramsci]

Thinking and building space, letting it take us and define us. By inviting artists from multiple universes to occupy the space of the re:future Lab for the time of a performance, we wish to open up and raise questions about the relationship to space of the artist as a mediator and prerequisite for our relationship to the Other. This Other we must not approach. How can we be together when the walls keep us apart? The banality of an encounter in space as a precondition for an authentic exchange.

On the contrary, can the absolute constraint of an imposed solitude, the uncertainty of the next day, be the driving force of a true encounter with oneself? Cleansed of the superfluous, detached from shadows and flats, washed from the desire to please, relieved from the injunction to be useful. Jump into the void and do. Risking everything and nothing at the same time.
